项羽戏马台
INSCRIPTION ROCK ( QIU - FENG - XI - MA )
《史记．项羽本纪》记载："汉之元年四月，诸侯罢戏下，各就国。"西楚霸王项羽在此时之后，率军东归回到彭城，时间大约在当年六月，而不久又出兵攻齐。据测算，项羽在彭城筑台戏马，享受太平的安逸时间为公元前二○六年的七、八、九三个月。按照秦代历法，这三个月序属秋季。所以，后人把这段珍贵的时光称为"秋风戏马"，这也是西楚霸王项羽短暂的戎马生涯中，在彭城度过的最得意的一段时光。
"秋风戏马"为徐州的古八景之一。明朝万历年间，朝廷诏令各地呈报八景，徐州八景应时而生："黄楼赏月、阳春观荷、秋风戏马、奎山塔影、石狗湖光、佛寺钟声、放鹤春晓、云龙山色，"这是徐州地方志最早记载的八景。八处景观荟萃了山水名胜和人文精华，体现了徐州特有的历史文化内涵，为历史文化名城徐州增添了一抹亮色。
此碑由著名书法家沙孟海先生题写，运笔雄浑刚健，字体道劲有力。
The huge rock beside the pond is inscribed with four characters , it reads : Qu - Feng - Xi - Ma written by a famous caligrapher which means to inspect the cavairy in the autumn . From the historical records of dhronides of Xiang Yr : ih spring of the year 205 B . C ., after Xiangyu made Pengcheng the capital , he led his army and retumed to Pengcheng in June . So that it is estimated that the season Xiang yu bult up this terace to inspect his troops was autumn aocording to andient calender , and it was a short but complaoent period in Xiangyu ' s ifotime ,
So we named this leisure time : inspecting the cavalry in the autumn wind which has been ranked into one of the eight cassic tounist atractions ih Xuzhou to commemorale this ancient ovent .
