In Existence

Beautiful World

《In Existence》是 Beautiful World 九十年代中的作品，这是一首令人听得自然投入如触摸到自己内心思想的 New Age 作品，功力很是不凡。他的音乐思想也体现了很浓的迷幻色彩,但因为里边牵涉到宗教,民族等元素,有体现出神秘的一面,可以算是一张概念性的new age专辑。

Beautiful World 的核心人物是伦敦人 Phil Sawyer，他的音乐中充满对没有恐惧的世界的冥想，展示了一种人与自然和谐相处、共同存在的生命图景。音乐元素上广泛借鉴融合了非洲素材，东方神秘主义思想，以及霍皮人颂歌、法英和班图人声、流行舞曲节奏等等，因此从音乐聆听上感受得到很强的 New Age 平和要旨，率直坦荡、同乐无争。 Phil Sawyer曾组成Fleur de Lys、Shotgun Express乐队，加入著名的Spencer Davis Group取代Steve Winwood的位置，又曾成为摇摆殿堂乐队Camel的一员，他的吉他及歌唱份量，公认为有个性且有内涵！Phil亦于早年为英国电视节目配乐，对音乐气氛的推进可以说是驾驭自如。他组成自我意念体系的Beautiful World，就是将他个人的宗教思维，渗入第三世界带出的民族声音，加上由静而动的内心流行曲推动力；在九十年代中，一曲结合英文及法文歌词的“In Existence”推出后，很快令Beautiful World这个名字响亮起来。

Beautiful World一共出过两张专辑，分别是1995年的《In Existence存在》和1996的《Forever 永远》，遗憾的是Beautiful World带给我们的只是存在并没有永远，现在这两张CD已经绝版。

Phil Sawyer 经历可算一般丰富，或者他自己当初都想不到会在从事音乐几十年后做出像《In Existence》这样的曲子，因为他十四岁的时候玩的是吉他，并且和别人组乐队，后来却迷上古典，学习了作曲理论，给别人写歌，后来又为电视、广播、电影和纪录片作配乐。直到1992年，他为Timotei将在肯雅播出的商业电视制作音乐，第一次和 vocal chants 团合作，奠下了Beautiful World 这个计划的基石。 他的音乐中充满对没有恐惧的世界的冥想，展示了一种人与自然和谐相处、共同存在的生命图景。音乐元素上广泛借鉴融合了非洲素材，东方神秘主义思想，以及霍皮人颂歌、法英和班图人声、流行舞曲节奏等等，因此从音乐聆听上感受得到很强的New Age平和要旨，率直坦荡、同乐无争。
